The Biloxi Shuckers got a sterling performance from pitcher Jerry Gray, but the Farmers still prevailed, 4-3. Gray was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He threw 9 innings of 5-hit ball. Lancaster starter Timmo Vreke was credited with the win after throwing 108 pitches over 7 innings. His record now stands at 2-2. Cheung Wuying earned his 6th save in 7 tries.

It could have been a different outcome for Lancaster, had it not been for Bryan Decker, the 21-year old first baseman . Decker contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the sixth inning to put Lancaster up, 4-0.

"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Decker.

The last-place Farmers are now 19-32, the Shuckers 23-28.
