Blimps Reel Off Another Win
The Akron Blimps topped the Irving Blue Sox, 9-1, with youngster Richard Trevithick playing a key role. Trevithick went 3-5 with 3 singles, while scoring 2 times for the Blimps in the win. Tony Rocha earned the save for Akron, his 1st. The Blimps, now 32-16, have won 6 in a row.

Akron used the timely hitting of Roy Burns to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put the Blimps on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

In comments to the Akron Gazette, Burns admitted that he doesn't always push himself. "But the results," he said, "speak for themselves."
