The Chesapeake Continentals knocked off the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks, 10-3, at Thunder Hawks Ballpark. Shou-chien Luo was named player of the game for Chesapeake. He hit 1 single and 2 doubles, while driving in 5 runs. The Thunder Hawks, at 22-18, have lost 4 straight games.
Chesapeake used the timely hitting of Pat Hopkins to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the second inning to put the Continentals on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
