Blimps Bang Out 6-2 Win Versus Belvedere Park
|
The Blimps had to overcome a good performance from Belvedere Park pitcher Ed Kreuze to claim a 6-2 win at Field of the Rawhides. Kreuze went 5 innings and allowed no earned runs. Akron reliever Tim Walker was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Hyung-ki Kim. Akron is now riding a 4-game win streak.
The Blimps grabbed the lead in the top of the second. With one out, Surender Nada, who is tied for 4th in the SAA in triples with 3, hit a 2-run home run off Hyung-ki Kim, putting Akron in front, 4-0. For Nada, it was his 4th home run of the season.
"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play even better," said Akron manager Emílio Sáenz.
