Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Richard Trevithick, the Akron Blimps defeated the Biloxi Shuckers, 11-9. Trevithick belted 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 6 for the Blimps. With the win, the Blimps have a record of 22-14.

A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd and no one out in the top of the third inning. That's when catcher Walter Butler, who is tied for 6th in the SAA with a .446 on-base percentage, drew a walk. The Blimps went on to win.
