Blimps Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Shuckers

The Akron Blimps turned back the Biloxi Shuckers, 7-6, at The Pizza Oven. Richard Trevithick was named player of the game for his fine performance. He was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. The save was credited to Eddo Mud, his 6th. The second-place Blimps raised their record to 21-14.
This game was not decided until late. With two out in the top of the ninth, Frank Brinton drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Blimps took the lead, 7-6.
"I had a good game," said Brinton. "Winning makes it even better."
