Though he had a great game, Tsukasa Sekine could not single-handedly produce a win for St. Louis. Las Vegas won the game, 6-2. Sekine was named the player of the game. He went 3-3 with 3 singles and a walk. Las Vegas reliever José Sipe picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Zaki Fakhiri was saddled with the loss. Earning his 1st save for Las Vegas was Kagetoki Matsubara.
Glyn Bolasky was a prime factor in the win for the Flamingos. In the bottom of the fourth with two out, the 28-year old right fielder hit a run-scoring single. He went 1 for 4 with a walk.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Bolasky.
The 8th-place Flamingos improved to 18-24.
