The Biloxi Shuckers scored a 7-6 win versus the Chesapeake Continentals at Chesapeake Grounds. Biloxi designated hitter Neville van Mierlo nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. The Continentals drop to 4-8 and continue their inconsistent start to the 2036 season.

van Mierlo contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Biloxi in the top of the seventh. With his team trailing 6-5, van Mierlo took a cutter from Brooks Senetzer and stroked the home run to left. His 1st home run of the season allowed the Shuckers to leap in front, 7-6.

"It was offense that won us the game," said winning manager Ramiro Guzmán.
