Buzz Clip Coyotes in Tight Contest
|
Salt Lake City shortstop Fontana Contaldo was instrumental in his team's 8-5 win over the Hamilton Coyotes. Contaldo went 1-2 with 3 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Buzz. Salt Lake City reliever Magnus Scheving picked up the win to move to 1-2. Kevin Pilkington suffered the loss. Salt Lake City occupies 9th place in the Menard's AAA at 45-51.
This game was not decided until late. With one out in the top of the ninth, Roberto Soto drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Buzz took the lead, 6-5.
"We came out aggressive," said Buzz manager Manny Cuellar. "We came out swinging the bats."
