Coral Reefers Fall to .500 After Loss to Drummers
|
Riding the 2-hit performance of the 25-year old shortstop Fernando Rincón, the Tortolita Drummers stopped the Key West Coral Reefers, 9-0. The 'W' lifts Tortolita's record to 52-40.
The Drummers grabbed the lead in the top of the eighth. With no one out, Miguel Elías hit a 3-run home run off Brandon Sorkin, putting Tortolita in front, 9-0. For Elías, it was his 9th home run of the season.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Elías.
