Drummers Go Down to Defeat, 8-5
|
It was a fun time at KC Reserve Stadium, where the Tortolita Drummers and Athletic Club KC Reserves tangled.
Athletic Club KC left fielder Jason Ward made his presence felt in the 8-5 Reserves triumph over the Tortolita Drummers. Ward went 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. Scotty Bingham, credited with the win, is now 5-4. He allowed 3 runs on 7 hits in 7.2 innings.
Athletic Club KC grabbed control in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and the bases loaded, Tomás Solorzano delivered a 2-run single, to make it 5-3 in favor of the Reserves.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Ward.
Athletic Club KC has now won 3 in a row.
