The Sacramento Redlegs grabbed a 6-4 win over the Syracuse Starks at Sacramento Sanitation Station. Sacramento right fielder Júlio Salazar went 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 to earn player of the game honors. Lloyd Natoff got credit for the win, improving to 7-5. He allowed 4 runs on 9 hits in 8 innings. Sacramento's record now stands at 37-33, placing them 4th in the Menard's AAA.
Salazar had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 1-0 fastball from Brian Peeks, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Redlegs a 5-4 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Salazar.
"We take it day by day here," said Salazar, "and today was a good one for us."
