Dodos Lose to Hotspur Reserves in Walk Off
The Phoenix Hotspur Reserves downed the Hialeah Dodos, 9-6, at Thunderbirds Stadium. The Hotspur Reserves were led by Harumi Takaki, who captured player of the game honors. He went 3 for 7 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Ken Morrison got credit for the win, improving to 3-0. He allowed no runs on 5 hits in 4 innings. The Hotspur Reserves now have a record of 19-42.

Takaki had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the 13th. On a first pitch fastball from Richard Osborn, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Hotspur Reserves a 9-6 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Takaki.

"I know we have our doubters," said Hialeah manager Nick Allen. "But I still have high hopes for this team."
