The Sacramento Redlegs defeated the Phoenix Hotspur Reserves, 7-1, at Thunderbirds Stadium. Sacramento first baseman Héctor Amaya was named player of the game for his superb performance. He belted 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. Tetsunori Ikarashi got the win, improving to 4-4. He pitched 7.2 innings, giving up 3 hits and 1 run, while striking out 4 and walking 3. The Redlegs, at 30-26, sit in 5th place in the Menard's AAA.

Sacramento needed the clutch hitting of Heherson Inaris to notch the win. The center fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Redlegs on top, 3-1. For the game, Inaris had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
