Starks Come Up Short at Salt Lake City
Salt Lake City turned a good effort from starter Javier Romero into a win over the Syracuse Starks at Spirits Stadium. The final score was 3-2. Picking up the save was Emil Olsson, his 5th. This win makes it 5 in a row for Salt Lake City.

Salt Lake City took a 3-2 lead on Manyara Akintola's 13th hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which Akintola hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Syracuse pitcher Octávio Ríos shaking his head.

Akintola said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
