Thompson, Tortolita Prevail in Pitchers' Duel
The Tortolita Drummers got a magnificent effort from pitcher Scott Thompson, who kept Sioux Falls hitters in check en route to a 2-0 Drummers win at The Bamboo Forest. The save was credited to Karl Dandleton, his 1st. The third-place Drummers are now 29-23, the Red Pandas 32-20.

Thompson scattered 1 hit over 7.2 innings for the Drummers. With the win, Thompson goes to 5-5 on the year with 43 strikeouts.

"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Tortolita manager Sergio Inostrosos said.
