The Sacramento Redlegs sent the home crowd home smiling from Sacramento Sanitation Station.

Sacramento right-hander Tetsunori Ikarashi made an effective start against the Tortolita Drummers at Sacramento Sanitation Station, leading his team to a 4-3 win. Sacramento now sits at 26-23, while Tortolita falls to 27-22.

Ramiro Palmeiro was the walk-off hero for Sacramento. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Redlegs left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Sacramento manager Rich Hunter.
