Starks Pull Even With 5-3 Victory
The Starks had to overcome a fine performance from Tortolita pitcher Cisco Pérez to grab a 5-3 win at Drummers Ballpark. Pérez allowed no earned runs over 5 innings. Martín Aguilar earned the save, his 13th. The Starks, at 22-22, sit in 7th place in the Menard's AAA.

Syracuse used the timely hitting of Mariano Saelices to capture the win. The catcher socked a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Starks ahead, 2-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was an important one.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Saelices told the Syracuse Observer.
