Victory Over Flyers Takes Sioux Falls to 27-15
|
The Pennsauken Flyers got a superb performance from pitcher Vincent O'Higgin. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Sioux Falls. The Red Pandas won the game, 3-1. In spite of the loss, O'Higgin was named the player of the game. He threw 5 innings allowing 3 runs. Reliever Mike Orrsborne picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Vincent O'Higgin took the loss. The save was credited to Morgan Beckwith, his 1st.
Sioux Falls catcher Matt Herman contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With two down, he hit a fastball into right-center field for a 2-run double. It was his 5th double of the season and put the Red Pandas ahead, 3-0.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said Herman.
The first-place Red Pandas have won 4 in a row.
