Starks Continue Skid Thanks to Fleming, Redlegs
|
The Sacramento Redlegs extended their winning streak at Stark Stadium.
Desi Fleming knocked in 4 runs to help Sacramento beat Syracuse, 6-3. The second baseman collected 1 single, 1 double, and 1 home run. Lloyd Natoff earned the win to go to 3-3. He allowed 3 earned runs on 9 hits, with 1 walk and 1 strikeout. Broderick Evans locked down his 1st save.
Sacramento grabbed the momentum in the top of the seventh, when Fleming, who is rated as the 91st best prospect by BNN, hit a grand slam home run. His 5th home run of the season put the Redlegs out in front, 6-2.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Fleming.
Sacramento has now reeled off 6 straight wins.
