Dallas McMurran was instrumental in his team's 8-3 triumph over the Syracuse Starks. The second baseman was 3-5 with a home run, a triple, and a double. He scored 3 times for the Sacramento Redlegs. The 9th-place Redlegs now have a 4-game winning streak.

It could have been a different outcome for Sacramento, had it not been for Javier De La Garza, the 26-year old center fielder . De La Garza contributed a 2-run single in the top of the fourth inning to put Sacramento up, 4-0.
