New Orleans Voodoo starter Daniel Edwards was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Buckhead Bowties, 5-3. Marcos Mesorana got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 1 run on 4 hits in 2.2 innings. Their 17-13 record puts the Voodoo 4th in the Premier League.
Lupo Cotto had a clutch at-bat with no one out in the bottom of the sixth for the Voodoo. Coming up with runners on 1st and 2nd and New Orleans trailing 3-2, he hit a 2-run triple.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Cotto told the New Orleans Daily.
