With first baseman Tomás Muinos leading the charge, the Houston BC defeated the Sacramento Redlegs, 8-5, at Houston Park. Muinos, who leads the 3AAA in total bases with 36, was 2 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. The Redlegs fall to 6-8 and continue to sputter in the early going.
Mike Howard, the Houston center fielder, contributed a 2-run single in the bottom of the fourth inning to make the score 5-2, BC. For the game, Howard went 2-4 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
