Dirty Reds Get Road Win, 6-2
Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Paul Tate, the San Mateo Dirty Reds defeated the Panama City Piranhas, 6-2. Tate went 3-4 with a home run, 2 doubles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs for the Dirty Reds. Itsa Sandwich got the win, improving to 1-0. He held the Piranhas to 1 earned run on 4 hits over 5 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 4. The Dirty Reds have now won 5 straight.

It could have been a different outcome for San Mateo, had it not been for Iván Vega, the 13-year veteran . Vega contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the third inning to put San Mateo up, 2-0.

"Feels good to get the job done," Vega said after the game.
