Cattlemen Prevail, 5-4, Over Brooklyn
|
The Ft. Worth Cattlemen racked up a win at Ebbetts Field, bumping off the Brooklyn Dodgers, 5-4. Armando Romano, who started for Ft. Worth, pitched effectively for his team. The Dodgers fall to 6-13 and continue their unimpressive start to the 2036 season.
Ft. Worth used the timely hitting of Semo Hoaloha to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put the Cattlemen on top, 1-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Armando was throwing strikes, locating well," said Ft. Worth manager Scott Thompson.
