|
Vancouver Grey Wolves starter Ray Skipworth turned in a sterling performance against the Las Vegas Flamingos, leading his team to a slim 2-1 win. Reliever Ramón Costello picked up the win. His record improves to 1-1. Luis Peña took the loss. Vancouver has now won 4 games in a row.
Vancouver needed the clutch hitting of Ramón Rodríguez to notch the win. The shortstop hammered a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Grey Wolves on top, 2-1. For the game, Rodríguez had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We'll keep playing hard and let the chips fall where they may," said Vancouver manager David Krause.
