Stingers Lose, 7-2, at 84s Field

The exploits of right fielder Yu Miao, who is tied for 10th in the SL in hits with 113, helped the Greenville 84s defeat the Toledo Stingers, 7-2. Miao went 3 for 4 with 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Greenville reliever Santiago Alonza picked up the win to move to 4-3. Ángel Silva suffered the loss. Greenville has 3 straight wins, Toledo 3 straight losses.
Greenville took a 5-2 lead on Miao's 113rd hit of the season. The 2-run single, which he hit off Nelle Liefting in the bottom of the sixth, propelled Greenville to the win.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Greenville manager John Bosma.
