1837 BBC Lose to Rainbow Mermaids in Walk Off
Houston wasted a solid 8-inning effort from starting pitcher Miguel Rubia, losing to Northern Virginia, 2-0, at Atlantica. The Rainbow Mermaids bumped their record to 56-41 with this latest triumph.

Jason Schneider was the walk-off hero for Northern Virginia. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Rainbow Mermaids designated hitter hit a dramatic 2-run home run to send the teams home.

"This place sure got loud," said David Lister, the Northern Virginia manager.
