Ortíz on Fire, Strikes out 15 Baby Lakers Wednesday, August 8th, 2035 Aurelio Ortíz of the Ballard Beavers put on a pitching clinic today at Field of the Sunchasers as he struck out 15 Bompton Baby Lakers in a 8-0 victory. Ortíz, who is tied for 2nd in the 3R with a 12.2 K/9 rate, was simply magnificent as he held the Baby Lakers to 3 hits. He walked 0. "I felt okay at the beginning," Ortíz said, "but eventually my fastball really started working. I also have to thank my catcher for calling a great game." When asked about Ortíz's performance, Beavers manager Terry Stokes shook his head and said, "Yeah, he was good out there today. He was dominating."
