Flores Is August's Best SR Hurler Saturday, September 1st, 2035 There's something about a young rookie winning the USSL Rookie Pitcher of the Month trophy that sends shock waves through the league. Such is the case with Ramón Flores, a 20-year-old starter for the Franklin Fire. In August, he topped off the month with a 5-0 mark and 2.05 ERA in 6 starts, tossed 48.1 innings, fanned 46 and held opposing teams to a .184 average. This season Flores has compiled a 11-5 mark, 2.60 ERA and made 20 starts. |
