Revolvers End Braz's Streak
Wednesday, August 29th, 2035
It was the best of both worlds for the Santa Fe Revolvers today at Ballpark of Day Valley, as they defeated the Moose Jaw Canucks 5-4 and also snapped Jeffrey Braz's 20-game hitting streak. The 19-year-old Moose Jaw second baseman failed to get a hit in 2 at-bats.
"Nothing personal against Braz, we just wanted to win the game," said Revolvers skipper Luis Díaz. "We did a great job keeping him off-balance and guessing."
When asked by reporters about his streak coming to an end, Braz frowned and said, "I won't lie and say that I'm not disappointed about it, but I'd feel much better if we had won."
This year Braz has hit at a .266 clip with 33 RBIs, 3 home runs and 34 runs scored.
