Crowley No Match for Gameiro Friday, June 22nd, 2035 Ellesmere Island Snowpeople fans were pleased to see so many goose eggs up on the scoreboard as Lucas Gameiro blanked the Crowley Cajuns, 2-0 at Corpus Christi Grounds today. Gameiro stopped them on 4 hits while walking 1 and striking out 9. "Once he gets in a groove, he can be dynamite," Snowpeople skipper Glenn Woods said. "He was on top of his game in this one." So far this year Gameiro has made 10 starts, tossed 69.2 innings, struck out 57 batters and walked 10. His record is 6-3 with a 3.36 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .260 batting average.
