Hard work, long hours and a tireless resolve paid off for him today in the form of the USPL Rookie Most Valuable Player Award. Washington hit for a .357 average while collecting 115 hits, 36 doubles, 2 triples, 10 home runs, 54 RBIs and scoring 64 times. Gilberto Ramírez of the Capital Hill Interns finished second in voting, while Richard Trevithick of the Winter Haven Sun Sox finished third. |
