PR #1 Pitcher in August is Winter Haven's Garza Saturday, September 1st, 2035 Winter Haven's Miguel Garza hated to see August end. It was one of the single greatest months the reliever has posted, and the 20-year-old reliever did so well that he garnered enough votes for the USPL Rookie Pitcher of the Month trophy. Garza held the opposition to a .179 batting average in 12 relief appearances. He worked 35.1 innings, collected 1 save, sat down 43 on strikes and posted a 3-1 record and a 1.78 ERA. Garza has collected 7 saves for the year with 109 strikeouts and 33 walks in 88 innings while registering a 3.07 ERA and a 8-6 won-lost record. |
