Gonzáles Touches All the Bases, Hits for Cycle Saturday, July 14th, 2035 Valley View's Tim Gonzáles accomplished what few others have done -- he hit for the cycle, collecting a single, double, triple and home run in the same game. For the day, Gonzáles finished 5-for-6 with 3 runs batted in and 3 runs scored and helped the Cougars knock off the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople 12-5 at Corpus Christi Grounds. "I didn't even know I was about to hit for the cycle until after," Gonzáles told reporters following the game. "One of the guys mentioned it when I got back to the dugout." Tim Gonzáles grounded out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Zi-cheng Yang in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th, tripled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
