Carroll and Vaillancourt Brawl, League Suspends Them
Saturday, June 16th, 2035
After an intense confrontation, both the Lionhearts Leonard Carroll and the Blue Sox John Vaillancourt were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Lannister United-Irving game. Both players will miss 6 games as a result of their actions.
"Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Leonard Carroll commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play."
In 12 games Carroll is hitting .231 this season with 6 hits, 2 home runs, 6 RBIs, 3 walks, .355 OBP and has scored 5 runs.
To date this year Vaillancourt has won 1 and lost 0 with a 0.61 ERA, no saves and 9 strikeouts in 5 relief appearances.
