Byrd Chosen 2035 3AA Outstanding Hitter Award Saturday, October 6th, 2035 At the age of 25, Paul Byrd of the Virginia Beach Deuces could very well have his best years ahead of him. It's a startling thought when you consider the year he had in 2035 was good enough to win the third baseman the M3L Double A Outstanding Hitter Award. "See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "That's my basic approach." The top hitter put up a .318 batting average this year, as well as a .408 on-base percentage. He played 102 games and racked up 138 hits, 30 doubles, 2 triples, 17 home runs, 60 RBIs and 87 runs scored. Shohei Otani of the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks finished second in voting, while Mason Congdon of the Durham Rapiers finished third. |
