Rapiers Come up Short of Playoffs Tuesday, September 18th, 2035 Heartbreaking. Agonizing. Devastating. They were all words being used by the Durham Rapiers after today being mathematically eliminated from the playoffs. "It stings to come this close but come up short," said manager Brody Roberts. This is the club's 7th playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 2028. In the last 10 seasons, the Rapiers have missed the playoffs 9 times. In total, the Rapiers have missed the playoffs 16 times in their 20-year history. Durham has won the 3L AA Championship 3 times in their history. |
