Simonse Wins 3AA Best Player Award Monday, September 3rd, 2035 27-year-old Bartho Simonse made a few Ottawa headlines during this past week as the rookie third baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and M3L Double A officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 7 hits in 14 at-bats to put up a .500 average. Simonse collected 2 home runs, 4 RBIs and scored 4 runs. This season Simonse is swinging the bat at a .249 rate with 72 hits in 289 at-bats. To date he has hit 14 home runs, scored 38 runs and driven in 45. |
