SAAA Pitcher of the Month Goes to Brooks Monday, October 1st, 2035 Any time a rookie makes a splash on the scene, it's got to be great for his career potential. Just ask Billy Brooks, who put together a stellar month out of the pen. The Augusta Timber Hawks reliever, 27, kept the opposition off balance all month as he held them to a .273 average and walked away with the USSL Triple A Pitcher of the Month award for September. Brooks posted a 1-0 mark and a 2.84 ERA in 7 relief appearances. In 6.1 innings, he had 6 saves, 4 strikeouts, and 7 walks. |
