Riikonen Nabs SAAA Weekly Award Monday, July 30th, 2035 It was a fantastic week for Ellenburg center fielder Asko Riikonen and it was capped off today with the announcement that he was named the winner of the USSL Triple A Player of the Week Award. Last week Riikonen hammered the ball at a torrid .579 pace, going 11-for-19 with 2 home runs, 4 RBIs and 3 runs scored. This season Riikonen is swinging the bat at a .295 rate with 39 hits in 132 at-bats. To date he has hit 3 home runs, scored 20 runs and driven in 15. |
