Redlegs Gabriel Gone for Year
Thursday, August 30th, 2035
The season is finished for Jaime Gabriel of the Sacramento Redlegs. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Redlegs reliever suffered a torn labrum while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Gryfindor Braves. Team doctors said it would take at least 8-9 months to heal.
To date this year Gabriel has won 0 and lost 3 with a 7.65 ERA, no saves and 14 strikeouts in 8 relief appearances.
