Epner and Sweeney Brawl, League Suspends Them Tuesday, August 21st, 2035 After an intense confrontation, both the Blue Sox Dale Epner and the Guzzlers Stan Sweeney were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Valley-Galesburg game. Both players will miss 7 games as a result of their actions. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Dale Epner commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." Epner is hitting .248 this year with 5 home runs and 25 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .377, 42 walks and scored 33 times.
