Tennessee No Match for Crum Thursday, July 26th, 2035 South Beach Blaze fans were pleased to see so many goose eggs up on the scoreboard as Chris Crum blanked the Tennessee Smokies, 3-0 at The Ballpark on the Beach today. Crum stopped them on 3 hits while walking 1 and striking out 11. "Once he gets in a groove, he can be dynamite," Blaze skipper Wilson Alvarado said. "He was on top of his game in this one." So far this year Crum has made 13 starts, tossed 96 innings, struck out 115 batters and walked 28. His record is 9-4 with a 2.62 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .194 batting average.
