Phillips Acclaimed Top Pitcher in August Saturday, September 1st, 2035 Over the past month Andrew Phillips has turned quite a few heads. He's young, talented and able to pitch with the established arms in the USSL Single A. He proved all that and now he's been named August's Pitcher of the Month. The rookie for the Caldwell Chiefs posted 4-0 mark and a 1.26 ERA. In 5 starts he tossed 35.2 innings, permitted 25 hits and fanned 36 batters. To date Phillips is 10-3 in 18 starts with a 2.62 ERA and has 104 strikeouts in 117 innings. |
