Chicago No Match for Deleón Friday, August 3rd, 2035 Caldwell Chiefs fans were pleased to see so many goose eggs up on the scoreboard as Víctor Deleón blanked the Chicago Tula, 7-0 at Ramblers Ballpark today. Deleón stopped them on 5 hits while walking 2 and striking out 9. "Once he gets in a groove, he can be dynamite," Chiefs skipper Hugh Harris said. "He was on top of his game in this one." So far this year Deleón has made 14 starts, tossed 103.1 innings, struck out 98 batters and walked 25. His record is 9-4 with a 2.87 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .244 batting average.
