It's a No-No for López Saturday, June 9th, 2035 Columbia is abuzz in the wake of a masterful no-hitter by Ernesto López. The 22-year-old hurler was dominating against the Phoenix Hotspur U-21, leading the River Rats to a 2-0 win at Columbia Stadium today. "I could tell early on that it was going to be a long day for us," Phoenix manager Howard Martínez said afterward. "He made us look real bad. He was that good. And still going strong at the end of the game." López had 13 strikeouts and gave up 2 walks en route to the no-hitter. "Yeah, this was a special day for me," López said. "I had my good stuff and good movement. Good location, too. Even when I made a mistake, I got away with it today." This year López has fashioned a 4-1 mark, 1.70 ERA and pitched 37 innings.
