Pickett Wins 3A Player of the Week Prize Monday, August 20th, 2035 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the M3L Single A, but last week Denny Pickett of the Phoenix Hotspur U-21 reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Pickett rocked opposing pitching for a .467 average (7-for-15), 1 home run and 2 RBIs to come away with the award. For the season, Pickett is hitting at a .258 clip with 6 home runs, 21 RBIs and has scored 33 runs. He has 71 hits, 34 walks and a .343 on-base percentage. |
