Yamamoto and Nice Brawl, League Suspends Them Friday, July 27th, 2035 After an intense confrontation, both the Chukars Tadamichi Yamamoto and the Vandals Coy Nice were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Idaho Falls-Eugene game. Both players will miss 9 games as a result of their actions. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Tadamichi Yamamoto commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." This year Yamamoto has collected a .236 batting average to date with 45 hits in 191 at-bats, 25 RBIs, 1 home run and scored 10 times. He has played in 53 games. To date this year Nice has won 0 and lost 2 with a 3.57 ERA, 2 saves and 23 strikeouts in 13 relief appearances. |
