Bad News For Álvarez and Chicago Friday, November 9th, 2035 Things have gotten worse for Mario Álvarez of the Chicago Gold Sox. The 28-year-old second baseman will not be back as soon as originally expected. Álvarez is undergoing treatment for a broken hand, but his doctors have expanded his recovery time to at least 4 days. An unidentified team official told BNN, "Mario tried to rush his rehab and suffered a setback." Álvarez has played in 189 games with a .304 career batting average and 238 hits. He also has scored 92 runs and driven in 56 runs with 3 home runs. |
